LAKELAND, FL – The Lakeland Tarpons announced today that they have re-signed former USF and Webber International QB Baylin Trujillo to a new contract for the 2019 season.
“I’m pleased to have Baylin back for the 2019 season. We are expecting a big season from him, and based on his work ethic I’m sure he’ll be ready to go!” said Tarpons Head Coach Michael Taylor.

The former Oak Ridge star played three years at Boone High School before transferring his senior year. He finished 3rd in the county and 5th in Central Florida in passing yards with 1,543 yds and 13 TDs.

His senior year, Webber International was conference champs of The Sun Conference. The first team to ever win the conference.
“I look forward to returning to the Tarpons and continuing the winning tradition they have always played with. I want to bring a lot of excitement to this organization and the city of Lakeland because they deserve entertainment at the professional level. I thank Coach Taylor for the opportunity to once again put on that #5 jersey! Go Tarpons!”
